Not because I think they’re wrong, quite the contrary actually; I agree with them 150%, as in that the world is either too easily offended or hurt, and we end up doing stupid things because of it. “What happened to the days where we were all strong, willing to die for our families, and still smile?” I ask myself. But, I’ll be honest……Whenever I hear something like that, It feels almost…Hopeless or pointless. Like, what’s even the point anymore? Should I grow cold? Should I care only for myself regardless of others? It feels like there’s not a world…or family worth fighting for anymore.

Then I ask other questions, such as: When is growing thicker skin “acceptance” of bad behavior to continue growing in the world? Is being a kind, and sensitive person considered being weak?. OR, on the contrary side: When can we just move forward as a society who isn’t bound by constant feelings and compassion?

I’m just really conflicted, not just as a person, but from a argumentative standpoint as well; Is it really worth it to make relationships with others if no one truly cares about one another, or vice versa? Should I teach my children to not expect kindness and tell them to be uncaring? Coming from a bi- person, I don’t even support gay rights anymore, because what’s the point? “They’re just getting stepped on anyways, they are weak and should get over it because that’s the way the world works”, a man once told me.

In short, I get mad because when I hear that phrase only one thing pops in my head: “This is a kill or be killed world, no room for kindness unless there’s something in it for ya.” Should…I just stop caring entirely? Honest to God, asking here.

Sorry for the long post dude, It was an absolutely awesome article; And I’d love to see more content in the future, as you are very good. :)
