But I think what they a.o. argue is that even if you generally love doing what you do, it can still be super hard work if you want to succeed.

I bet most professional basketball players love basketball. And still they sometimes struggle with getting up and train.
Or I just read that Novak Djokovic lost his lust in tennis. Although he most certainly loves tennis.

So I guess it’s a mix of loving what you do and hard work. Just like you said And it’s probably much easier to put in 10000 hours into something you generally love rather than into something you don’t.

So, I completely agree with you. We should not work on a job we hate but rather do what we like. And nobody said it’s easy…
